6 Abundance Hacks for Manifesting Like a Boss
Manifesting the life of your dreams, what would that look like exactly? What changes would you make to your current life? What has kept you from all these things you desire?
Years ago the movie, the Secret, became quite well known because it promised a “secret” to obtaining all the things your heart desired and while the premise of the movie is true – you really can manifest anything you desire, it left out some key elements that are crucial to understanding the real formula for abundance.
Here are some key elements that, when employed, will increase your likelihood of manifesting like a boss!
When manifesting anything, the Universe examines your intention, your “why.” Why do you want the house in the country? Why do you want that new car? Why do you want more time with your friends? Why do you want anything that you desire? When we are desiring something derived from a place of ego, the Universe will likely be slow to deliver, or will deliver in a very much less than expected way – the new car may show up with chronic mechanical issues. When we set our intentions from a heart-centered space, the response is profound. Our heart has a magnetic force that emanates our wants and desires and brings to us (like a magnet) those things, people, events, etc. that will match our resonance and our sacred purpose. If you desire a home in the country because you want to create a profound relationship with the land and to have space to appreciate the natural elements, you are more likely to realize that dream. Conversely, if you want the home in the country because it will boost your ego and be a place you can “show off” to your friends, or be a symbol of money and wealth, then you will likely be disappointed.
Create your intention from a heart-centered place. Ask yourself, how will my life change and be more authentic and in alignment to my sacred purpose? If you connect those dots, you are well on your way to manifesting anything you want.
Presence & Focus
Speaking of presence … “present moment” is the time zone of the Universe. If you dwell in the past of what you don’t have, or how things have always been or you dwell in the what if of the future, the Universe really can’t hear you. Have you ever said “I don’t have time.” Or “I never have enough money.” Or “I don’t want to be poor (sick, busy, etc.)”? You perpetuate the same old repeating record each time you say those things, it keeps you stuck in the cycle because the Universe will always grant you and bring to you more of what you are focused on.
When you’re working on manifesting, work in the present tense and with a focus on what you want to bring into your life. “I am grateful for the finances to pay my bills.” “I am grateful that I can breathe easily and that I have the energy to hike through the woods.” “I am grateful to wake up each morning in my country home.”
Speaking of magnets, gratitude is the purest state of being that elicits not only abundance, but love, connection, joy, and deep happiness. If you don’t live in a heart-centered, grateful state, it will be very difficult to manifest. Gratitude, like intention, must resonate from the heart. It’s about being grateful for what you have, and what is coming. It’s about being grateful for the lessons, no matter how difficult they may be and being grateful for our strength and fortitude to navigate it all. When we work in the realm of abundance and manifesting, it’s about being grateful for whatever it is you are desiring as if it has already arrived. I am grateful for the home in the country … I am grateful for the space to garden, I am grateful for the natural environment outside my door, I’m grateful for the sun shining through my windows and the large oak tree outside my front yard. Be specific, vocalize it, talk in present tense, and feel it in your heart.
Abundance and manifesting are a visceral and tangible experience, or it should be. When we bring it into a full-bodied experience, we are more apt to manifest. If I truly want a home in the country, then I need to imagine it fully. Feel my feet walking barefoot on the soft grass, feel the wind in my hair, hear the pure natural sounds of the environment. I might imagine myself making a hot cup of tea and sitting on my front porch overlooking an expansive view of the woods, maybe a pond with a few ducks and a hawk flying above looking for fish. I can feel the warmth of the sun on my cheeks, I can taste the sweetness of my tea … you get the picture. Make it as real and tangible as you can make it. This full body experience brings us in alignment with that which we are desiring.
Let go of the expectations. I’m always reminded of the story of the drowning man.
A fellow was stuck on his rooftop in a flood. He was praying to God for help. Soon a man in a rowboat came by and the fellow shouted to the man on the roof, “Jump in, I can save you.” The stranded fellow shouted back, “No, it’s OK, I’m praying to God and he is going to save me.” So the rowboat went on. Then a motorboat came by. “The fellow in the motorboat shouted, “Jump in, I can save you.” To this the stranded man said, “No thanks, I’m praying to God and he is going to save me. I have faith.” So the motorboat went on. Then a helicopter came by and the pilot shouted down, “Grab this rope and I will lift you to safety.” To this the stranded man again replied, “No thanks, I’m praying to God and he is going to save me. I have faith.” So the helicopter reluctantly flew away. Soon the water rose above the rooftop and the man drowned. He went to Heaven. He finally got his chance to discuss this whole situation with God, at which point he exclaimed, “I had faith in you but you didn’t save me, you let me drown. I don’t understand why!” To this God replied, “I sent you a rowboat and a motorboat and a helicopter, what more did you expect?”
If we hold our expectations tightly, then we might not see it when it comes, we miss our opportunity. If I expect my country home to be on 4.5 acres with a pond in the front yard and the house is painted blue then when the white house on 6 acres with a wooded front yard appears, I might dismiss it because it doesn’t quite meet my expectations and I will miss out.
Let Go & Trust
Once we’ve taken the steps to manifest our desires, let it go … and trust. Trust that the Universe has heard you, know that it is coming to you, and let go of the expectation, and the timeline. If we hold too tightly to our ideals, we get in our way. But at the same time, remain vigilant to the gentle guidance of the Universe. If I have a gut feeling to take a different route home and on that new route, I see a home in the county for sale, I might want to pay attention to that nudge.
Here’s a step by step guide to manifesting like a boss:
- Look at the areas of your life and determine what changes you need/want to make.
- What could you bring into your life (and let go) that would bring you closer to living your sacred purpose? Answer those questions and sit with the “why” – why would this make a difference? Drop it into your heart space and examine your motives.
- Using present vocabulary and focusing your attention on what you want more of in your life, make your declarations with gratitude. “I am living peacefully, and joyfully in my home in the country and I am grateful.”
- Continue holding the gratitude for the life you are manifesting and be in your heart when doing so.
- Visualize and imagine yourself experiencing whatever it is you are manifesting. Bring it to life. You might even make a vision board with imagery and words that support what it is you are desiring.
- Let go and trust … but remain mindful of the signs and messages you are receiving. Know that the Universe may bring it to you in the most unexpected ways.
We live in an abundant Universe which does not support a sense of lack, there is no lack. When we truly understand this and know in our bones that anything is possible, we open the flood gates to unlimited potential. We have not been raised to see this, most often we are taught limitations and struggle, and that it takes hard work and long hours to “get ahead.” This simply is not true.
Dream big … and know that you have already started the wheels in motion!
