this was a beautiful teaching. So significant to the key to opening up ourselves to the gifts that are beyond the reach of the emotional, physical and ego mind way of being. I had the gift of ritual with a sister that passed last year, much of the days of her passing were spent in presence and silence which left me with some powerful teachings about how important and REAL this simple state can be. I will always hold dear that powerful experience. Truth in all of your words Dakota, Thank you.

I am lost without the transcript. I am a visual learner more than an oral learner. I retain more when I can read as I am listening. If the words don’t follow the speaker…….
My co worker Paul has a phenomenal memory, he can almost recite a radio news cast from 20 or 30 years ago! And with my failing memory?!!

I am a good sounding board, broad shoulders. When another co worker Jan’s wife walked out on him, we were on a training course. Every break period for about a month, I let him talk. I did not say anything, didn’t fill the gaps. My listening helped him get over a lot of the stress. That was about 20 years ago, he still thanks me.

At the Residential School, I was raised to be seen but not heard. It wasn’t till I got myself promoted to Supervisor that I was comfortable with public speaking. I had to monitor and inform my crews of up to 75 workers how we were doing with work schedules and deadlines, and keep the up date with how the company was doing. I loved my job.

That’s my tale on listenin’ an’ talkin’!!

I found this moving, painful at times, and sad because I have a couple of this I need to say but I am scared of letting them out, of what you all might think. The music was interesting going from nearly cracking my heart open to gluing it shut again near the end,

I have been slowly learning this, it is very hard to do because I never knew how to hold space but it is so beautiful when it is done. Thank you. Best teaching yet!!!!
