Thank you Dakota. This is one of the most concise explanations of the value of affirmative prayer that I have heard.

Thank you, I have been doing prayers since the beginning in the West direction. My way of praying started to change the last couple of weeks in the East. From first praying for the things to need into imprinting in beeing and feeling of my prayers. Beeing the healt, beeing the love, beeing communication etc. Thank you so much for this. Aho

I have been realizing this for the past few years…and life is GREAT. I feel supported and the love abounding from the Divine, Nature and all that is around me. Thank you for putting it into words.!

I smudge every morning, Part of my ritual, I show Gratitude to the Creator, and I make my requests. I see that I should pray Happiness, not pray FOR Happiness!

I was told that religious people pick a day, usually Sunday, go to a place, usually a church or synagogue, to talk about God. We Spiritualists go into Nature any day or every day of the week to talk TO Creator! A’ho.

Oh, wow, I love this. It makes so much sense! I discovered something like this years ago when my anxiety first started to disrupt my life. I realized that I could recognize when my brain was starting to go “that way”, towards an anxiety attack. It was almost like I had a mental snapshot of what it felt like. And when I realized I was starting to have an anxiety attack, I would lie down or sit down and close my eyes and let it pass. So not long after I realized I had this ability, I was on my way to Kripalu for a long weekend, and I started to worry about having an anxiety attack. As I was driving in the car, I realized that I had the ability to store a “mental snapshot” of what my brain and thoughts felt like when I *wasn’t* having a panic attack, and that I needed to focus on bringing that snapshot into my reality. So as soon as I felt the anxiety attack coming on while I was driving, I shifted my focus to bringing in that snapshot of calm, clear, and grounded thoughts. Lately, my therapist has been working with me on some Abraham Hicks-type stuff, working on re-directing my focus towards feeling good, and raising my vibration that way. This is the perfect time for me to hear all this and start working with it daily.

This class was also a great reminder to me of why I started practicing yoga in the first place – because yoga reminds me of that connection with the Divine, and it reminds me that I am *part* of the Divine force, not something separate from it. It is not just within me, it IS me. Love!!!

I have learnt that this true form of praying is giving gratitude for something as if you already have it, instead of asking for it. For example I’m teaching my daughter to say prayers every night before she goes to bed. We ask Jesus to wrap us in love and light and to place an angel at each corner of our beds to watch over us while we sleep. Instead we should give gratitude for that it has been done. And instead of asking Arch Angel Micheal to protect us, our loved ones, and our home. We should give gratitude that it has already been done also. As we have imprinted it into our quantum field. To end our prayer we ask for peace, love and light to be sent out to the cosmos, the universe and mother Earth and all its inhabitants. So we should instead give gratitude that peace love and light already exist.

I believe we are connected to the Divine through our heart centre so is it true that anything we do from the heart is an expression of the Divine Father/Mother God?

This sounds very much like the law of attraction according to Abraham hicks, and also Wayne dyer. I have tried it just like this, time to time, when I remember (it isn’t habit yet), and it has really worked. I am still working on my body. There have been changes, for sure, not there yet…very grateful for this validation. Love the ancestral stories. We have left so much of that behind.

I love this way of prayer. I’m taking away that we have the power to become beacons of the very thing that we are praying for; we become channels for the Divine. Thank you!
