By My Dying Side
Although our physical bodies are mortal, many spiritual traditions suggest that there is a part of us that is immortal, such as the soul or the higher self. By embracing the reality of our own mortality, we can tap into this deeper aspect of ourselves and gain a new perspective on life. If we were able to travel in time and meet our dying self, we may gain insights into what we could have done differently or what we should have focused on more in life.
This reflection can help us to prioritize our values and to focus on what truly matters to us. By facing our own death, we can release our attachment to material possessions and societal expectations, and focus on the things that bring us true fulfillment and purpose. This process can be challenging, but ultimately empowering, as it allows us to live more fully in the present moment and to create a life that is aligned with our deepest values and desires.
By embracing our own mortality and reflecting on what we can learn from our dying self, we can gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and live a more meaningful life.
This Guided Meditation takes you on a journey to your future self. In the moments just before death, are their regrets? Are their profound messages to urge you to live differently? Is there a moment of connection that is needed in order to pass peacefully? In this guided meditation we connect to our breath, that given gift we sometimes take for granted. While journeying through a beautiful forest at the guidance of a spirit bird, we enter a sacred space. Moments before passing from this incarnation we ask those very questions to our future self. Hear what messages this part of you has for you now, and use these moments for deep clarity in the way you presently live.
