The Sound of Music
By Dakota Earth Cloud Walker

Music is my “thing.” My entire family has some sort of musical inclination and has for some generations. At a very young age, I began listening to classical music, thanks to my Grandma. She was not only a piano teacher her entire life but also an avid enthusiast of all classical music. She has some amazing sheet music autographed by some of the greats – Vladimir Horowitz, Igor Stravinsky, and others. I spent many moments sitting next to her in some theater, listening, and learning different pieces. She taught me about the story behind the music and the composer, the importance of the notes in each stanza, and more. My studies of music and utilizing music in the realm of my work continue through to today. I have studied its effects, the origins, how to tap into the power of sound, and more.

In 1939 during an international conference, Joseph Goebbels of the Nazi party recommended that the A above middle C be tuned to 440 Hz and to be known as concert pitch. And although this change in pitch happened long before 1939, it was only then it became widely accepted as the standard pitch for which all music was to be set to. The International Organization for Standardization reaffirmed this standardized pitch again in 1955 and again in 1975.

Why is this so important? This shift in standardizing the pitch of music is reflected in nearly all music you listen to, and its effects on you are enormous. To understand fully what this all means, we need to go back to the beginning and talk about the origins of music.

Modern science has finally proven what the ancient Shamans and Earth Keepers have long known, that everything in the Universe is based on vibration. Everything from the chair you sit on to the rising sun to the stones on the Earth to the food you eat to each cell in your body vibrates at a certain hertz or Hz. These vibrations create a movement that can be perceived as sound, some of which are audible to the human ear, but most are not.

By now, most of us have seen the movie “What the Bleep do We Know” and we have heard of Dr. Masaru Emoto, who has done hundreds of studies on the effects of various vibrations on water. In ancient times this was not all such a mystery or a discovery – it was common knowledge.

An ancient megalithic temple complex, which is estimated to have been built sometime around the 4th millennium BC, was discovered in Mnajdra on the Island of Malta. Many archeologists regard this temple as the oldest spiritual site on Earth. One of the temples was built to align with astral bodies and was used primarily for ritual and observance. Near this temple, they also discovered the Hal Saflieni Hypogeum, a complex system of caves and ritual chambers. One of the chambers found is called “the Oracle Chamber,” and inside, it is a small niche where someone with a deep voice can speak, and it will echo all over the hypogeum. The resonance in this temple is nothing short of exceptional. Some have described it as if feeling they were standing inside a bell. You can feel the sound in your bones as much as you hear it with your ears. For those who spent time in this chamber, it was if the word of God was inside your very bones.

This is just one of many discoveries made that has proven how valuable and important sound and vibration were to ancient civilizations. Probably one of the most important discoveries and recent revelations has been the Solfeggio Frequencies. The Solfeggio Scale was practiced in the Ancient Gregorian Chants. These chants, and the scale of the tones used, were said to impart intense and tremendous spiritual blessings when they were sung in Latin harmoniously during rituals in the churches. The tones of the Solfeggio Scale were developed and given to the Church for a very spiritual purpose. When sung, these chants are incredibly powerful. They cut through all the limited thought forms and pervade the deeper recesses of our subconscious, accessing insights beyond our belief systems. In essence, these tones opened the gateways of our consciousness and gave us an expanded world view, a portal to more profound wisdom and gave humans the ability to heal themselves.

Eventually, though, the Church suppressed their use, and sometime after 1050 AD, the Church unofficially denied the masses the opportunity for their own vibrational healing through sacred sound by changing the pitch of the Solfeggio tones.

And now, we go back to what we began discussing at the very beginning of this article – the 440 Hz. The vocal and musical instrument tuning method was changed into what is currently used in today’s modern music world – the “12 Tone Equal Temperament Method” or the 440 Hz pitch standardization. The 440 Hz brings an unnatural 8 Hz of dissonant change in how we think. DNA oscillates to protect itself from the environment and stress from inharmonious interference patterns of mechanical and electromagnetic waves. Our inner ear, for example, works on the basis of Phi dampening. The waters of our inner ears rely on Fibonacci spiral dampening through the seashell, like the structure of the cochlea to keep us feeling centered or grounded. This Fibonacci spiral shape helps cancel out certain standing wave interference patterns, like a Helmholtz resonator, in order to keep us properly balanced with the natural environment around us. When the inner ear is in stress by artificial means, we can experience a type of “fog-like” condition or feel “spaced out.” The natural Phi shape of the cochlea can be found planet wide in a majority natural organic-based life. It’s one of the basic fundamentals of Sacred Geometry.

Think about our everyday lives and how we are constantly and deliberately bombarded with “noise.” This discordant noise comes from every direction you can imagine as they are emitted from your microwave oven, your new HDTV set, or wireless router. Your cell phone, the computer in front of you, and virtually every electronic device you own and including in the music we listen to. There is no escaping it in this modern world of noise. I did some research years ago about the number of radio waves traveling through your body at any given moment. It was astounding to learn most humans are inundated with these inaudible waves every single moment. And when exposed too long, it not only causes your tissue to warm but has been known also to cause eye discomfort, facial redness, fatigue, dizziness, sleep disturbances, high blood pressure, pain in the joints and muscles, immune system abnormalities and even allergies.

So what about all this doom and gloom? How do you escape the plight of 440 Hz and world domination through vibrational control? Here are some tips for you, and I encourage you to implement as many as you are able.

Five Ways to Use Sound and Resonance

Understand the Schumann Resonance

It is believed that 8 Hz is the “beat” of the planet, the “heartbeat” of the Earth, which was dubbed the Schumann Resonance named after physicist Winfried Otto Schumann when he first documented the Schumann Resonance mathematically in 1952. This vibration, which the Earth emits through her natural world, is known to have a healing effect on us. To prove this, a study was conducted, whereas several people volunteered to be locked into a concrete building for one month without access to the natural environment. 100% of the volunteers suffered illness by the end of the experiment, and at the same time, 100% of them were significantly healed when they were able to be in nature after the experiment. Many of our cities block the Schumann Resonance with all the buildings, concrete roads, etc. To have the healing power of the Schumann Resonance, you must spend time in nature.

Listen to Music Composed or Changed to 432 HZ

Unlike 440 Hz pitch, 432 Hz is the harmonic intonation of nature. Listening to music set to this pitch fills you with a sense of well-being; it opens your consciousness and releases you from negative behaviors. It also shifts the power back into your court, giving you the ability to heal yourself and tap back into your own deeper wisdom. Many archaic Egyptian instruments that have been unearthed were tuned to 432 as well as Ancient Greece. Mozart and Verdi based their music on the natural vibration of 432 Hz, and these days you can find many renditions of popular music that have been converted to 432 Hz. You can also convert music yourself using Audacity or another audio program. Many tutorials exist online for you to do this.

Eliminate the Noise

Create a noise-free day in your home by unplugging as many appliances and gadgets as you are able to. Turning off is different than unplugging. Many electronics today continue to emit frequencies and radio waves even while turned off, this is so that you can have “instant” on when you do power something up. Unplugging is the only assured way of “cleaning the air.”

Create a ``Safe`` Bedroom

I once lived in an apartment in Charleston and decided to experiment with this idea – I had only one light in my room and no other electronic devices. It was a cell phone free area as well. I slept like a baby. Even today, we have virtually nothing electrical in any of the rooms where people sleep. I guarantee you will sleep better and more soundly once you remove as much as you are able.

Listen to the Solfeggio Frequencies

The frequencies are powerful, and each one has a very specific function. Learn their functions and use them as often as you can. You can find many recordings on YouTube for the tones as well as meditations. Today’s meditation has each of the tones, in accordance with the chakras, layered under the songs themselves.

The main six Solfeggio frequencies are:

396 Hz – Liberating Guilt and Fear

417 Hz – Undoing Situations and Facilitating change

528 Hz – Transformation and Miracles (DNA Repair)

639 Hz – Connecting/Relationships

741 Hz – Expression/Solutions

852 Hz – Returning to Spiritual Order
