The Day Before Your Session
Preparing for a Shamanic Breathwork session begins in the days leading up to the event. Here are some instructions for the day prior to the session:
Eat light:
It’s recommended to eat light meals the day before the session. Avoid heavy, greasy or spicy foods, which can be difficult to digest and can interfere with the breathwork process. Instead, choose easy-to-digest, nutrient-dense foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean protein.
Drink plenty of water:
Staying hydrated is crucial for the breathwork process. Aim to drink at least 2-3 liters of water throughout the day to keep your body hydrated and support the release of toxins.
Less meat and more vegetables:
While meat is a great source of protein, it can be difficult to digest and heavy on the system. It’s recommended to eat more vegetables, legumes, and plant-based sources of protein like nuts and seeds the day before the session.
Get a good night’s sleep:
It’s important to get plenty of rest the night before the session. Try to get at least 7-8 hours of sleep to allow your body to recharge and prepare for the deep inner work of the breathwork process.
Set your intentions:
Take some time to reflect on your intentions for the breathwork session. What do you hope to gain from the experience? What areas of your life do you want to focus on? Write down your intentions and hold them close to you throughout the day and at dreamtime.
You can create the optimal conditions for a powerful and transformative Shamanic Breathwork experience. Remember to also create a sacred space for yourself, dress comfortably, and have a private space available where you can lay down and breathe without interruption.
