I came up to the wall at the hour when the light goes long and orange, and everything on the trail looks like it’s been lit from the side by somebody with a sunset paintbrush.

The stones here were stacked by hand maybe 200 years ago by a farmer clearing a field who had nowhere else to put them. He wasn’t building anything sacred. He was solving a problem. And now here I am, standing in front of it at dusk, treating it like a door.

Which, as it turns out, it is. I’ll get to that.

, Samhain opens the new year for the Wheel. You’re not up for renewal until January. I want you hearing what’s changing from me anyway, and I want you to have your options.

On October 25 the new year opens as The Wheel of Your Wild Becoming.

This year I’m doing something we’ve never done, and something I haven’t seen anyone else out there doing either. We start in the present moment and walk forward. No more looking behind us at the wounds. No more trauma healing, cord cutting, releasing fears.

I’ve been listening to you, and watching. I see the exhaustion. I see how many people are getting through their days with no joy in them.

On my Medicine Walks this year I heard this version of the wheel being birthed through my own experience, my own steps.

So we’re going on an adventure. We’ll find our passions and our joys, we’ll celebrate and laugh, and you’ll come back from more nature adventures than you’ve had in years, carrying medicine that soothes your soul. You’ll have energy you haven’t felt in a long while.

How I teach it is changing too. I won’t give away the plot yet.

Right now, you are set to start the first arc, Otherworld, with the cycles Reap, Listen, and Cross. This turning of the wheel will explore the cross directions: West into North, fire into earth. It’s already yours, it’s covered by the enrollment you’ve already paid for, and you don’t have to do a single thing to be included.

It’s also the last stretch of your enrollment.

Nine weeks of it. Three cycles, five live calls, the packets, the field guides, and a closing ritual on December 27 that you’ll build and lead yourself.

Enrollment works differently now. Otherworld is the only opening for the annual track. Miss it and the year is closed.

You’re the exception, along with anyone who takes Otherworld as a single season. In January you can upgrade and carry on through the remaining 3 arcs: Instinct, Feral, and Coven.

Two ways to do it

Wait for January · $1,416 Your Otherworld arc gets credited against the annual pass. The math is simple: $1,888 divided across 4 arcs is $472, and that $472 comes straight off.

Your upgrade buys Instinct, Feral, Coven and everything the full year carries. The Liminal Hour at each new moon. Monthly Sonic Alchemy ceremonies. The Druid archive. 20% off the vault. The Field Book you fill all year and put on the altar in September as a reminder of your adventures.

Or decide now · $1,316 Commit to the remaining 3 arcs before Otherworld starts and save another $100. Code WILDUPGRADE100, good through October 23.

Nothing changes about your October, . You still start Otherworld the same day, the same way. You’d just be walking in knowing you’re staying, which in my experience changes how a person moves through a first arc.

No rush on it. January’s door is real, and it isn’t closing. I’d just rather you have the choice now than find out about it later.

P.S. The wall I’m sitting against as I write this has been whispering for a while now. Two Crows in the White Pine above me have been turning up here almost daily. I can’t help thinking they’re involved somehow.

So is Bear.
